This is a tribute to my Dad, Alex Lambie who was my best friend. Dad passed away just before xmas in
2006 from kidney cancer and heart failure. He was one of the strongest, most loving, sincere people
I have ever known and he was taken from us too young. He worked every day of his life to build a
better future for my brother, sister and myself. Everything he done was for us. He lost his wife,
our mum, May, in April 2002, to lung cancer. She was 43 years old and died the day she was meant to
start her chemo. Dads soul was lost and weary since mum died and he missed her so much. They were
soul mates! Now they can be together again forever. We all miss mum so much. She would have been 50
this year, and Dad, 60 this year.
Dad passed away at Wishaw General Hospital on 16th Dec 06 and he fought so hard to stay with us but
his tired heart gave in and he is now at home with the lord, shining a light and guiding us to keep
us all safe until we meet him again some day.
Rest in peace dad. I miss you so so much.

On th 22nd of November, 3 years ago today, you were taken in to hospital for the very last time. We were trying to convince you that you would only be in for a few days. You just needed to go and get the fluid removed from your lungs and you would be able to breathe properly again. Little did we know that day that you would never come back home to us. You found out that you had heart failure that day also and we were so so scared because we knew after speaking to the consultant that your organs were starting to fail and they knew that you'd never get better. Dad, the 3 weeks leading up to your passing were the toughest 3 weeks of our lives and nothing prepared us for that time. So Dad, today, I just want to tell you that you were so so brave and I am so proud of you for the way you dealt with this horrible disease. I love and miss you so much Dad. Rest in peace xxx

When tomorrow starts without me,

I had so much to live for,

It seemed almost impossible,
